Please join us in congratulating Senior Superintendent, Mike Redmon, on celebrating 30 years with R.C. Mathews Contractor!
Having worked for RCMC for 3 decades, Mike had a hard time choosing his favorite project, but he looks back fondly on his previous medical work and on the recent University Commons dorm at Trevecca University. Mike’s favorite type of project is doing additions to existing buildings because of the complexity and coordination involved (good thing this is exactly what he’s doing at Abe’s Garden)! Mike’s favorite part of the job is the challenge. He loves figuring problems out and finding unique solutions. As we head into the last quarter of the year, Mike is looking forward to getting going on the Abe’s Garden addition and getting it dried in!When asked what he could not live without on the jobsite, Mike immediately said “Marina,” who has been his right-hand woman for many years.
The best tip Mike could give someone who is looking to have a long career in the construction industry is to work hard and be willing to learn. He mentioned that if you put your head down, work hard, and ask questions, it will pay off. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, and his favorite R.C. Mathews event is our annual picnic at the Nashville Sounds game!
A Note from Walker Mathews, Jr.:
“Congratulations to Mike on 30 years. He epitomizes our values and has always led by example with his character and hard work. Mike’s father, “Peewee,” was my first real boss with Jerome and Heck as other key mentors. It is truly an honor that the Redmon family and RCMC family have been tied together for decades. Thank you, Mike, for all you do to serve others.”
Thank you, Mike, for all of your dedication and hard work over the past 30 years!
