Fort Negley Park Improvements Groundbreaking

Fort Negley Park Phase 1 improvements are officially underway, with the official groundbreaking taking place in February 2026.

R.C. Mathews is grateful to work alongside HDLA and Metro Parks Nashville on improvements at Fort Negley Park and Centennial Park, two community-focused projects that will enhance Nashville for years to come. The Ft. Negley project includes new landscaping and hardscaping, a two-acre Memorial Lawn, and the transformation of former Greer Stadium parking lots into native meadow space. Updates will also restore historic 1930s driveways, shift the main entrance to Chestnut Street, and enhance accessibility and the overall visitor experience.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful, historic project and contribute to places that mean so much to Nashville. To learn more about the project, visit Fort Negley Planning and Development | Nashville.gov
