January 17, 2025 – We were honored to join Nashville Christian School in commemorating the grand opening of The Campbell Family Event Center, also known as "The Jake." 

 

Bridging the gap between Nashville Christian School's high school and its elementary and middle school buildings, the gymnasium addition integrates the new facility into the campus, ensuring both functionality and accessibility for students, staff, and visitors. Key features of the 33,500 sq. ft. addition and renovation include a 1,500-seat gymnasium with expandable bleachers, two locker rooms, multiple restroom facilities, courtyard space, concession areas, and more. The building's new gathering areas are thoughtfully designed to foster student interaction and support collaborative learning. 

 

The Campbell Family Event Center is a true testament to sustainable and innovative design, including energy-saving LED lighting and acoustical-treated collaborative spaces with interactive learning boards. The new space is also in accordance with Metro Codes' adoption of the new tornado shelter requirement. Built with durable load-bearing masonry walls, a brick and cast stone veneer, and long-span roof trusses, the building is not only visually stunning but also designed to meeting the evolving needs of the Nashville Christian School community for years to come.

 

It was an honor to partner with Nashville Christian School, Kline Swinney Associates, and many others to create this incredible new space for the students, faculty and staff, and Nashville Christian School community.
