Project Overview
The Harpeth Square mixed-use development reclaimed and revitalized an entire city block of one of the South’s quintessential downtowns. Located in the National Register Historic District of Downtown Franklin, TN, the project’s consolidation of nine adjacent properties (4.66 acres) over four years made this endeavor possible. A Franklin resident himself, the developer’s goal was to create a long-lasting, sustainable asset and legacy for the community.
Completed during 2020, the development offers a 119-room lifestyle hotel, 150 luxury apartments, and several new restaurant and retail options for visitors and residents alike. The boutique hotel hosts several amenities including a fine-dining restaurant, a European style sidewalk café, lobby lounge, and close to 5,000 square feet of ballroom/flexible meeting space surrounding a central courtyard with a grand imperial staircase. The 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom Harpeth Square apartments feature high-end finishes and appliances, tall ceilings, and resort-style amenities including private covered courtyard space, wellness studio, and room service from the hotel’s onsite restaurant. Over 18,000 square feet of ground floor leasable commercial space sits beneath the LEED Gold certified apartments. Encasing a shared 591-space parking garage, the project affords minimal disruption to the urban landscape and adds four newly activated tree-lined streetscapes to the walkable historic downtown.
