Wiseman Hall at Belmont University

Project Overview

Belmont University officially dedicated Betty Wiseman Hall in August 2025, its largest and most ambitious residence complex yet, spanning 300,000 square feet and accommodating 729 students in suite-style rooms for freshmen and apartment-style units for upperclassmen, with scenic views of the Nashville skyline.

Designed by ESa and built by R.C. Mathews, the development features a standout 3,100-square-foot E-sports center equipped with 25 PC stations, ten 80-inch TVs, gaming consoles, RGB LED lighting zones, raised flooring, and flexible seating and commentary areas for both casual and competitive play. The hall also offers modern conveniences such as dedicated laundry facilities, a grab-and-go dining outlet, a 24-hour convenience store, and lounges on every suite level. The facility boasts enhanced campus connectivity through plazas, courtyards, and pedestrian pathways, courtesy of civil and landscape design by Catalyst Design Group.

Named in honor of Betty “Belmont Betty” Wiseman – the founder of Belmont’s Women’s Basketball program in 1968, creator of its Sports Ministry, and inductee into multiple halls of fame – the hall celebrates her trailblazing spirit, educational leadership, faith-centered service, and enduring legacy. Overall, Wiseman Hall embodies Belmont’s commitment to a Christ-centered, holistic residential experience that nurtures academic success, community, and personal growth.
